Roseland Community Farm
This stick build marks a return to roots for ARCO2 and Ecofab. Sharing the same specification as prefabricated ecofab buildings, the Community Farm building was constructed on site owing to severe access limitations. The building incorporates a fully equipped specialised class base with break out area for students together with a designated menagerie for small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and rats.
The building is of post and beam construction and supports a brown roof promoting vegetation growth from the site. The project cost, a mere £110,000, reflects Ecofab’s ethical values since without this largely ‘not for profit’ approach these facilities would not have been possible.
