| The Project Background |

| The building has been designed for 20 pupils and is located on the west side of St Andrews School near the main entrance on a long strip of land. There is a secure play area at the top of the building. |
| The building has two mono pitch roofs which face north one allows natural daylight into the center of the pre-school with two roof lights above and the other allows natural daylight into the northern end of the building and entrance space. North facing high level windows to provide a constant level of natural light into main teaching space. There is a large high-level roof overhang to prevent solar overheating and allow natural daylight into entrance lobby. The other roofs are flat with a sedum roof finish. Additionally we have positioned photovoltaic's on the main central mono pitch roof facing south the roof slope could also have solar panels. |
| The building has had an early air leakage test with no additional works and measuring 1.02m3/m2/hr at 50pa. This figure is likely to dip below the magic 1m3/m2/hr at 50pa on completion. The EPC and as built S-BEM will be published in due course. |
