| The Project Background |

| A new Preschool for 20 children located on a primary school site in Egloskerry, Launceston. It is hoped that, pending planning consent, work will commence in July 2010 with completion late in November 2010. |
| The building has a mono pitched roof which is angled towards the south which allows natural daylight into the center of the building. The other roofs are flat with sedum roof finishes to encourage wildlife and are also sympathetic within the landscape character of the site. |
| South facing high level windows will provide a constant level of natural light into main teaching space. Windows will be fully automated to provide natural stack effect ventilation. |
| The glulam timber frame will be exposed internally around the range of teaching spaces, offices, bathroom facilities and storage areas the building has to offer. The building will be finished with locally grown timber cladding subject to availability. |
